UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, 50, was tragically shot and killed outside the New York Hilton hotel on December 4. The gunman, who had been waiting for several minutes, ambushed Brian as he walked toward an investor conference. Despite attempts to save him, Brian was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai West. The assailant fled on foot and later on a rental bike, heading into Central Park. The motive remains unclear, though Brian had received recent threats. No arrests have been made, and authorities have offered a $10,000 reward for information. Brian leaves behind his wife, Paulette, and their two sons, leaving the healthcare industry and his family devastated by the loss.
